A 23-year-old young man’s dream… He came to Canada for a better future, but tragedy took him away too soon. 💔 Rubal Kumar, 23, arrived in Kingston, Ontario in 2023 to study at St. Lawrence College. He was the only son of a single mother and brother to two sisters. His mother had borrowed nearly $40,000 to give him this opportunity and support the family. Just two months after receiving his work permit, Rubal tragically drowned on May 30, 2026. His friends have started this fundraiser to send his body back to India for his final rites and to support his grieving mother and sisters. The cost to repatriate his body and provide immediate help to the family is around $10,000. We cannot bring Rubal back, but we can help lighten the burden on his mother.
