After more than a year of construction, the new Africa Grasslands building (on the pathway to the Canadian Domain) is ready for you to visit!
This flexible, new habitat was designed to meet the year-round needs of African hoofstock at your Toronto Zoo. It features modern, climate-resilient infrastructure, expanded indoor spaces with natural substrate, and a covered outdoor yard to support the daily health, enrichment, and well-being of the animals in our care.
It also has a viewing gallery that will be accessible to every member and guest. This building reflects our commitment to the highest standards in animal care, conservation leadership, and immersive guest education.
