June 6, 1944.
Thousands of young men stepped into the unknown, knowing many would never come home. They didn't fight for applause, recognition, or personal gain. They fought for something bigger than themselves. They fought for freedom, for country, and for future generations they would never know.
Today, we live, work, worship, raise families, and pursue our dreams because they were willing to sacrifice theirs. The heroes of D-Day were not larger than life. They were ordinary people who displayed extraordinary courage when the world needed it most.
We owe them more than remembrance. We owe them our gratitude, our respect, and a commitment to never take for granted the freedoms they secured.
We still stand on their shoulders today.
