Tillman Scholar Spotlight: Andrew Napier 🩻 For 2012 Tillman Scholar Andrew Napier, leadership has always meant stepping forward when it matters most. Today, Andrew is helping transform emergency airway care through IntuBlade, a single-use video laryngoscope designed for EMS and paramedics working in the most difficult conditions, because when seconds matter, better tools save lives. “The Tillman network has been a reminder that the mission doesn't end when the uniform comes off. IntuBlade came from a hard lesson I learned as a combat medic,” Andrew said. Recently, he donated IntuBlade devices to Eastern Kentucky University’s Emergency Medical Care program, helping future paramedics train with the same real-world equipment they’ll rely on in critical moments. “The goal now is pretty simple: make sure the next medic has a better shot than we did.” Tillman Scholars are leaders shaping what’s next.
