During her performance of “thank u, next,” Ariana had a cheeky moment during the bridge that seemed to reference her ex-husband, Dalton Gomez. She tweaked the lyrics slightly to reflect on the end of their relationship, playfully folding him into the song that’s famously about her exes. 👀 She changed the lyrics to, “We all grew from the drama,” seemingly referencing the growth that came from the relationship. Later, after the lyric “only wanna do it once real bad,” Ariana jokingly held up two fingers, a nod to the fact that her first marriage didn’t work out.
