ESCOBAR, STITH HONORED BY LA TIMES: Recently graduated pitching star Liliana Escobar and jserra.softball Head Softball Coach Katie Stith have been spotlighted by the Los Angeles Times for their contributions to the Lions’ historic 2026 championship season. Escobar has been selected as the Times’ Softball Player of the Year. The University of Florida-bound standout amassed an 18-5 record this season while producing a single season school-record 264 strikeouts. Stith has been named the Times’ Softball Coach of the Year. In her eighth season as head coach, Stith guided the Lions to a school-record 25 victories and the program’s first ever CIF-SS title.
