There is good news on Vladimir Abouzeide, the beloved wrestling superfan who had been hospitalized since last month.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider shared the update: “Very relieved & happy to pass along that Vladimir was released from the hospital after a month over the weekend. Thanks to all for their concern, support and care. He’s on the right path & is ready to go back to seeing some wrestling shows.”
Vladimir, the subject of the WWE documentary “Superfan: The Story of Vladimir” and the company’s only officially recognized superfan, was hospitalized in New York City in May after a balance-related fall, tied to his years-long battle with Parkinson’s disease, left him with a major concussion. During his stay, AEW arranged for him to watch Double or Nothing from his hospital bed.
