Throughout the month of June, we’ve been printing using rainbow ink and we’ve been asked if prints are available. Well, we finally have a variety available in our museum store and on our website! In this video, Howard letterpress printed a large photo engraving of himself and his favorite letterpress saying, “Mind your p’s & q’s.” The artwork was created by our staff member, Shawn. The image was then sent to OWOSSO Graphic Arts in Owosso, Michigan where the photo engraving was designed. This was printed with a gradient of four colors of ink on card stock paper using our Washington hand press, which was manufactured in 1852.
