100K hours of holding space for science 🧪👩🚀
Yesterday, June 9, at 7:57 a.m. CT, the Expedition 74 crew called down to the Payload Operations Integration Center at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center to highlight a major milestone for the International Space Station. The Microgravity Science Glovebox (MSG), which has taken part in hundreds of autonomous and crewed science experiments since its installation in 2002, has hit 100,000 hours of operation!
This laboratory facility allows safe, hands-on experimentation of flames, liquids, biological materials and more while keeping astronauts and the surrounding area free from contamination.
