2023 ART AUCTION EMCEE We’re happy to share a well-known face in Charlotte will emcee our second annual Art Auction for Second Chances, Host and Media Personality, Laresa Thompson. Here’s more about her: A true “Carolina” girl, Laresa Thompson was raised in Greensboro and earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from N.C. A&T State University. Laresa has more than 15 years in the communication and broadcast fields. She’s held a variety of roles including Morning Co-Host at WCCB, The Charlotte’s CW network. Laresa also served as the spokesperson for local amusement park Carowinds, and Fortune 50 company, Lowe’s Home Improvement. She still emcees and hosts for organizations she is passionate about. Laresa is the owner of Thompson & Boyd Communications, LLC, which specializes in public relations and media relations where she's worked with the likes of Grammy Award winning R&B singer, Anthony Hamilton, and local non-profit, The Center for Community Transitions.
