Phoenix has an unfinished underground bus station hiding beneath one of the busiest parts of the city.
The station sits below Margaret T. Hance Park inside the I-10 Deck Park Tunnel, where Phoenix once planned to build a transit hub for commuters.
Riders were supposed to get off buses underground and head up to the park through pedestrian access points.
But the project was never fully finished, and the space has stayed closed to the public for decades.
Now it’s one of Phoenix’s strangest hidden infrastructure stories.
Would you want to see the city turn it into something useful?
