A Lake Havasu City woman was arrested after police say she removed and damaged political signs from 7 different candidates.
Police say a witness reported seeing the woman taking signs near SR 95 and Acoma Boulevard around 10 p.m. Sunday, then throwing them on the ground.
The witness reportedly took photos of the woman and her vehicle before she left the area.
Officers later identified the suspect as 65-year-old Lisa Priester. She was arrested on 7 misdemeanor counts of removing a political sign and later released after her initial court appearance.
Police are reminding residents that removing, damaging, or defacing political signs is a criminal offense.
