This happened last year in Flagstaff, and the details are still hard to believe. š³
Police say a 13-year-old girl was driving a stolen Chevy Silverado at over 100 MPH when she lost control on I-40 around 1AM.
The truck reportedly flipped multiple times, hit a tree, and the impact was so strong the steering wheel flew about 50 feet from the wreck.
An 11-year-old passenger was also inside at the time.
Both kids were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Authorities said the 13-year-oldās BAC was 0.183, more than twice the legal limit for adults. DPS said she was expected to face DUI, stolen vehicle, and reckless driving charges.
One of those stories that makes you wonder how it didnāt end worse.
