According to Arizona DPS, troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on the Loop 101 in Tempe on June 1 after witnesses said a Chevrolet Silverado rear-ended another car and the driver appeared impaired.
DPS says troopers noticed several signs of impairment, including slurred speech, bloodshot and watery eyes, and the smell of alcohol. Officials say the driver took field sobriety tests, where multiple signs of impairment were observed, before a preliminary breath test showed a .141 BAC.
According to DPS, the driver allegedly told troopers she had nothing to drink that day before being arrested and booked for DUI. The vehicle was also towed from the scene.
