This week, while much of New York City was in serious Knicks Mode, a certain fashion and culture set were going
#PradaMode.
For the fourteenth iteration of the traveling, culture-focused pop-up hosted by—you guessed it—prada, the brand took over New York’s historic hotelchelsea to present Satellites II, a collaboration with Danish filmmaker nicolaswindingrefn and Japanese game auteur hideo_kojima. The two-day event coincided with the city’s Tribeca Festival, and was intended to build on Refn and Kojima’s previous collaboration, Satellites, “an exhibition exploring the connection between love, language, and creativity through the friendship of the two artists,” which took place at Prada Aoyama Tokyo in 2025. The event was a celebration of creatives young and old, with a special focus on New York’s most iconic culture-makers.
GQ’s social media director
sash.fm hung around the hotel for both days to see what all the fuss was about and document what went down.
