When JacobAnderson first got the script for #InterviewWithTheVampire, something clicked. “When I read it, I was like, This is the thing,” he tells GQ's trishnarikhy. In the novels, Louis de Pointe du Lac’s story is mostly contained to the first book, which spans seasons one and two of the show. But for showrunner Rolin Jones, the idea of Anderson not being in #TheVampireLestat—or even having a diminished role—was out of the question: “He’s too good of an actor, no matter how little there is in this book.” And, ultimately, the journey wasn’t just a transformational one for Louis, but for Anderson too. “I think Louis has really given me some confidence back and a surer sense of myself than I had before,” he says.
