Today I kept thinking about AI as a big door. A powerful one. A scary one. A door full of opportunity, but also responsibility. And the more I learn, the more I realise this: AI can open doors, but people know what is behind them. A machine can find patterns, but a nurse understands care. A teacher understands confidence. A lawyer understands rights. A farmer understands seasons. A community leader understands trust. An artist understands meaning. And youth understand tomorrow. That is why Africa cannot build its AI future with one key. We need public sector, private sector, communities, women, men, youth, educators, doctors, builders, artists, and leaders at the table. Because Africa does not need a copy paste future. We need a future built with our languages, our cultures, our wisdom, our dignity, and our lived reality. One key is not enough.
