One thing about the motiondesign industry I think isn’t talked about enough…And honestly, that took me a while to accept. Sometimes someone else just matched the vibe the client already had in their head. Sometimes they replied an hour faster. Sometimes it was just the wrong day, wrong mood, wrong moment. None of that is about your skill. Not getting picked doesn’t mean you’re not good enough. It means you weren’t the right fit for that specific brief at that specific time. That’s all it is. The problem is when you start treating every rejection like a verdict on your entire career — that’s when you spiral. That’s when you start overworking trying to prove something that was never even being questioned. You don’t have to win every opportunity to be a great motion designer.
