Intentional Design, No Waste: Why what your clothing is made from matters. The planet Earth is in a recycling dilemma. Up to 35% of microplastics in our oceans is derived from us washing our synthetic clothing (source). Yes, it is good to find ways to recycle existing materials, including polyester and other synthetics. However, this does not solve the problem of too much clothing being made without consideration of where it ends up. We believe this problem can and should be fixed at the clothing design stage. TS Designs has developed a fully circular model based around garment dyeing natural fibers.
Synthetic Fibers & Fast Fashion: Conventional fashion is linear, and is often designed with sub standard materials, to be worn and tossed.
