We believe in making clothing, not wasting it.
An estimated 92 million tons of textile waste is created annually, and it's either landfilled or burned. It's
#ZeroWasteDay, and at Solid State Clothing, we're serious about fighting this enormous problem.
Most clothing brands will simply throw away the fabric scraps left after the pieces of a garment are cut out. Instead, we collect and save all the fabric scraps left after out t-shirts are cut and sewn are saved. We use some of them for testing, and the are recyled at Materials Return, a textile recycling facility in Morganton, NC.
We also make our t-shirts 100% from natural fibers, down to the thread. That means when your t-shirt eventually wears out, it is completely biodegradeble and can even be composted at your own home. (We recommend cutting them into small pieces first.)
It's dirt to shirt, and back to dirt again.
