Eesher Singh Sarai has committed to @winthrop_mbb to play Division I basketball! The 6’9” forward out of Vancouver spent this past season at Ellsworth Community College, where he averaged 11 PPG, 6 RPG, and 1.25 BPG (2nd in the conference) while shooting 59.5% from the field (5th in the conference). He also earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors, was named to the All-Defensive Team, and earned First Team NJCAA All-Tournament honors. He recorded a season-high 29 points vs. Iowa Western. Eesher becomes the first Canadian turbaned Sikh to play Division I basketball and the second overall turbaned Sikh to play Division I basketball, following Dipanjot Singh.
