Few years ago, IMAX was something only hardcore movie fans talked about. Today, aspect ratios, expanded frames, and IMAX screenings are slowly entering mainstream conversations. Social media has definitely played a role, but awareness alone isn't enough. India is one of the biggest movie-loving countries in the world. We celebrate films like festivals. The question isn't whether IMAX will grow here β€” it's how fast people will see the value in it. For many viewers, a movie ticket is still a price-sensitive decision. If the difference feels like "just a bigger screen," paying extra doesn't make sense. But once audiences understand that IMAX can show more of what filmmakers actually captured, the experience becomes easier to appreciate. The biggest challenge for IMAX in India isn't technology. It's education. The more people understand aspect ratios, filmmaking choices, and immersive presentation, the more they'll start choosing the experience intentionally rather than accidentally....
