On Monday, on June 8th, SUNY Morrisville announced the hiring of Sebastian Ragno as new head coach for the men’s ice hockey program. Ragno, a native of Johnstown, PA, is a 2018 graduate of Kent State University with a degree in architecture and is currently completing degree requirements for his master’s in business administration in sport leadership from Johnson & Wales. He has been active in player development since graduation as he served as VP and co-founder of ETM Goaltending from 2018-2022, was the director of Stop It Goaltending from 2022-2024 and was goaltending coach for Culver Academies from 2019-2022. Since 2022, Ragno also serves as the associate coach-in-chief for USA Hockey in Rhode Island, where he had the responsibility of scheduling, organizing, promoting and administering clinics conducted as part of the coaching education program.
