Staying on theme with the Yale hirings… On Monday, June 8th, Yale University (DI) announced the hiring of Vincent Caligiuri as men’s ice hockey assistant coach. Caligiuri, a native of Shoreham, NY, was a four-year player at SUNY Potsdam where he accumulated 20 goals & 22 assists for 42 points in 84 career games. He was an assistant captain his senior season before graduating and shifting into the professional ranks. In two seasons from 2017-2019, Caligiuri would make stops with the Danville Dashers (FHL) as well as in the SPHL with Fayetteville, Quad City and Macon. To begin his coaching career, Caligiuri joined the New Hampshire Avalanche of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) over three seasons. He compiled a 91-20-8 record, earned EHLP Coach of the Year honors and helped more than 40 players advance to higher levels of competition.
