The 6 Colors of Monument Valley
Six frames from my last visit to Monument Valley. Three days of sunrises and sunsets - six completely different perspectives. Every time I look at them, I remember exactly why I keep coming back. Nowhere else on earth does the light do this to stone. This is the palette that pulls me back every single year.
1. Amber - The North Window, caught just before sunset.
2. Liquid gold - Artist's Point, as the sunrise reached its peak.
3. Rust red - Monument Valley Overlook, deep into the sunset.
4. Peachy orange - Tear Drop Arch, at the start of golden hour.
5. Dusty rose - View from Mustang Canyon, in the last light of the day.
6. Purple pink - Forrest Gump Hill, in the quiet before dawn
Which of these six moments speaks to your soul the most? 1, 3, or maybe 6?
