Epperson caught the eyes of MLB fans instantly, especially in a recent game against the Baltimore Orioles when he stepped onto the infield grass to wave home a runner around third base — an image captured here that is so bizarre that baseball fans in the stands and watching at home on their television performed a collective double take.
