UNDERWAY ALERT! USS Constitution is scheduled to get underway on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in Boston Harbor. Old Ironsides is expected to depart Charlestown Navy Yard at approximately 10 a.m. and make her way through Boston Harbor. The underway demonstration can be viewed from several waterfront locations, including Charlestown Navy Yard, the Boston Harborwalk, and Castle Island. At approximately 11 a.m., USS Constitution will render a 21-gun salute, best viewed from Fort Independence on Castle Island. At approximately 12:15 p.m., the ship will render a 17-gun salute in the vicinity of Coast Guard Base Boston. Please note that USS Constitution will be closed to public visitation for the remainder of the day on June 17 due to operational requirements. The ship will reopen for public tours on June 18, 2026, during normal operating hours.
