This group hosts big dance parties at Portland’s beautiful parks. tabordance season is here. It’s designed to be a fun, free, inclusive third space for the whole community. Folks dance, perform, there are refreshments available, and new DJs providing tunes throughout the season. On June 10, the group held an event at Laurelhurst Park, and drew in folks who weren’t even aware it was happening. This group also hosts park cleanups to show their appreciation for these spaces. It’s a volunteer-run effort that continues on Wednesdays through mid-September. Events take place at Mt Tabor, Cathedral Park, and Laurelhurst Park.
