The UFC spectacle at the White House ended as only a mixed martial arts event should. A rollicking fight. It was gruesome and it was riveting and in the end American Justin Gaethje prevailed over Ilia Topuria in the main event – a lightweight title fight. They fought with the hearts of light heavyweights and Topuria’s face was battered almost beyond recognition before his corner stopped the fight after the fourth round. It culminated a night of bloody fighting on the South Lawn of the White House. President Donald Trump witnessed it all cage-side on his 80th birthday.
