After over 6 years of living in London, there are quite a few things I’ve learned. Some are unwritten rules, some are personal preferences… and some simply make the city feel easier once you know them. Save this for your next London trip: 1 I wouldn’t stand on the left side of the escalator.
In London, this is practically a crime. Stand on the right, walk on the left. 2 I wouldn’t queue for the London Eye.
It’s iconic from the outside, but don’t join the queue. Get in touch with us and skip it. 3 I wouldn’t leave without rain protection.
London weather has a personality, and she likes to keep you guessing. 4 I wouldn’t make Oxford Street my main shopping plan.
It’s crowded, chaotic, and most shops are places you can buy from online. I’d save my shopping energy for Marylebone, Chelsea, Notting Hill or Soho instead. 5 I wouldn’t put Madame Tussauds at the top of the list.
