- [ ] Occurs after vigorous upper body activities (possibly rowing) - and in general a tight anatomical make where muscle, scar tissue, your rib, compress your subclavian vein overtime and cause a blood clot. I wanted to note I got the booster shot as well on 12/29. Whether that’s validated to have affected my blood clot will be in future studies. My vein was 98% blocked by a clot from repetitive use of my upper arm.

Surgery

6 hour procedure with 4 surgeons. One of the most complex surgeries ever “quoted by one of the vascular surgeons”

•Anterior scalene OUT
•Subclavian muscle OUT
•Vein repair (vein graft from my groin)
•Removal of scar tissue from the vein
•Sternocleidomastoid cut and reattached (huge next muscle)
