Fluffy, curious and very hungry, these Merlin chicks are on the lookout for food from mum & dad 👀   Merlin chicks typically take 28 to 32 days to fledge, but just before, the chicks will head out into the surrounding vegetation, leaving the safety of their nest behind.   Continuing to be fed by their parents for about a month, they then spread their wings and fly off to start a life of their own.   But what’s even more amazing is that when it’s their time to breed, they’ll often come back home, finding a site close to where they were born 🥹   And now you know more about Merlin chicks! 📽️ by nick_rodd_film   #merlin #birdsoffacebook #rspb
