In this video, I break down how to build a rock-solid, 35-inch-tall workbench from scratch using 4x4 legs and 2x8 Southern Yellow Pine (SYP). To get a flat work surface without those annoying factory-rounded gaps, I’m breaking out the track saw to rip the edges down to a crisp 7 inches before laminating them together. We’re putting this entire base frame together using heavy-duty pocket hole joinery for a clean look that leaves a top overhang for clamping down projects.
