Crews will install the final bridge girders at Pump House Rd in Mountain Brook. Details below👇 US-280 closure schedule: 📅 Fri, June 5 | 11PM: all lanes close (eastbound + westbound) ❌ Westbound (toward downtown) closed all weekend 🌙 Eastbound (toward Chelsea) closed overnight, reopens daily from 5AM-11PM on Sat + Sun 🚫 Eastbound Pump House Rd off-ramp + Pump House Rd closed overnight ⏰ Mon, Jun 8 | by 6AM: all lanes reopen Recommended detour routes include: 🚗 Heading west: I-459 ➡️ I-65 North ➡️ exit at Lakeshore Parkway ➡️ take it back to US-280 🚗 Heading east: Take Lakeshore Parkway ➡️ I-65 South ➡️ transition to I-459 ➡️ reconnect w/ US-280 🏗️ FYI: This closure will allow crews to install the final two bridge girders which will eventually include a center turn lane + pedestrian sidewalk.
