When packing for the front lines, it’s important to remember the essentials, like toothpaste, vitamins, and – of course – a tuxedo. Pictured here is the packing list for the iconic Bob Hope when he traveled on a USO tour in 1969, during the Vietnam War. For nearly 50 years, the legendary comedian and entertainer traveled with the USO everywhere from dangerous battle zones to ships in the middle of the ocean, bringing laughter and levity to service members across the globe, just when they needed it most. Mr. Hope’s holiday shows became legendary, and his commitment to supporting members of our Armed Forces was unwavering, from World War II to the Gulf War. Today, we honor Mr. Hope’s legacy of supporting the people who serve through our USO Entertainment tours, which continue to bring respite to forward-deployed troops all around the world. #USO4USA
