Here are some memorable images from a memorable and rare day in Buffalo as Fr. C.J. Wild ’16 was ordained as a priest last weekend.
Fr. Wild, a 28-year-old Lancaster native who is on track to serve as a Catholic chaplain in the U.S. Navy, was ordained last Saturday at St. Joseph Cathedral in downtown Buffalo.
Fr. Wild, who was Mr. Canisius in 2016, is the first priest to be ordained in the Diocese of Buffalo in two years. He received the sacrament of holy orders from Bishop Michael Fisher through the laying of hands and the prayer of consecration invoking the Holy Spirit.
