The summer fast food releases are heating up so let’s get into our second list of the week. McDonald’s shared new details on the future of its chicken lineup as part of its McDonald’s Next plans. Most notably, a new version of McCrispy Strips is expected to begin replacing the current version during the week of July 6th with a crispier, crunchier breading. McDonald’s also reiterated plans to continue expanding its chicken offerings over the next few years, including an eventual push into hand-breaded chicken. Arby’s has brought back its Sliders for the first time in over a decade. Four varieties are available for a limited time including Roast Beef, Ham, Chicken, and Buffalo Chicken. White Castle is launching a new Garlic Parm Chicken Slider on June 15th. The limited-time sandwich features crispy onions and a roasted garlic Parmesan sauce made with Parmesan, Asiago, and Romano cheeses.
