OMAHA, Neb. — The Men's College World Series is filled with unique storylines every year. Few are as personal as the one involving the Branch family. For the first time in College World Series history, brothers are competing for opposing teams in Omaha. Older brother Colby Branch plays for Georgia, while younger brother Kyle Branch suits up for Oklahoma. The two grew up in Allen, Texas, spending countless hours on baseball fields together before eventually taking different paths to college baseball's biggest stage. Their father, Rusty Branch, has enjoyed watching the moment unfold. "We went out and played putt-putt this morning," Rusty said. "Got to see the two younger brothers as well.
