LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska softball continued its offseason rebuild Tuesday by adding another experienced arm to its pitching staff.
Former Ohio State pitcher Lorin Boutte announced her transfer to Nebraska, becoming the Huskers' second major portal addition in the circle following the commitment of former New Mexico State standout Faith Aragon.
Boutte arrives in Lincoln with two seasons of collegiate experience and an impressive freshman campaign on her résumé.
The St. Charles, Missouri, native earned Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors in 2025 after posting a 21-9 record for the Buckeyes. Her 21 victories ranked fourth in the Big Ten and 24th nationally. Boutte logged 152.1 innings across 37 appearances while striking out 127 batters.
She also earned Freshman All-America honors from both Softball America and D1 Softball and was named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week during the season.
Injuries limited Boutte during the 2026 campaign, as she finished with a 7-7 record and a 5.99 ERA.
