OMAHA, Neb. — Every successful team seems to have a unique tradition. For Georgia baseball, that tradition comes in the form of a sour candy. The Bulldogs have embraced a dugout ritual known as "Sour Power," a team tradition that began during a road trip to Mississippi State and has followed them all the way to the Men's College World Series. The idea started with Georgia player Bryce Callaway during a stop at Buc-ee's while traveling to Starkville earlier this season. Callaway bought a bag of Sour Power candy, and teammates began handing it out after hits, runs and other positive moments during games. The Bulldogs proceeded to sweep Mississippi State on the road. The tradition stuck. "We went on to sweep Mississippi State, and we were rolling ever since then," Georgia outfielder Scott Newman said. "So it's stuck."
