The Nebraska track and field team concluded the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Saturday evening in Eugene, Oreg. Both teams finished in the top 10. The women’s team claimed a tie for eighth with 27 points, improving on last year’s 26th-place finish where they scored 10 points. The men’s team finished in ninth with 28 points, their best team-finish since 2003.  The highlight for the women’s team is Olympian Axelina Johansson earning another national championship. The Husker star won the NCAA women's shot put title with a meet-record throw of 19.92 meters, securing her fourth career national championship and eighth All-America honor. On the men’s side, Sophomore Dyson Wicker won his first national title. He set a school record in route to his pole vault championship, clearing 5.85 meters.
