Kioxia's CD9P-R is a read-first Gen5 SSD, and our 7.68TB sample showed why: about 30 µs of 4K random read latency at QD1, close to half the comparison group, plus 14,235.9 MB/s on 128K sequential read. It scales to 61.44TB in the 2.5-inch model and 30.72TB in E3.S, all at 1 DWPD.
