Native to Indonesia and Malaysia, they can be found in eastern Sumatra, Kalimantan and western Java in Indonesia, as well as in parts of Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak in Malaysia 🌊 This freshwater species is found predominantly in lakes, swamps and rivers, with a significant number of sightings occurring in peat swamps and freshwater swamp forests.
