Rescuers were awarded ₹21,000 each in recognition of their courage, while Riyazuddin Mansoori received a special ₹21,000 cheque along with reimbursement for the mattresses he used to help people escape the fire. The Delhi government also announced ₹10 lakh ex-gratia compensation for the families of those who lost their lives and ₹2 lakh financial assistance for every injured victim.
