Federal authorities have indicted two Chinese nationals in connection with the little-reported improvised explosive device (IED) discovered at MacDill Air Force Base, (that’s the home of CENTCOM and SOCOM). According to FBI Director Kash Patel, investigators have indicted siblings Alen Zheng and Ann Mary Zheng after the explosive device was planted near the base’s visitor center on March 10. Thankfully, the device failed to detonate, but after analysis, officials said it coulda been “very deadly” if it had worked. . The FBI said that shortly after planting the device, Alen Zheng placed a vague 911 call warning that a bomb had been planted—without revealing the location...not sure why you would call in an IED...but it could explain why the IED went undiscovered for five whole days—March 16–when an Airman found it near the base.
