The coming drone wars seems to get closer every day....the Pentagon announced Friday the formation of a new joint, interagency task force designed to counter the fastest-growing threat to military units—hostile drones.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth directed Army Secretary Daniel P. Driscoll to formally establish “Joint Interagency Task Force 401”, a unified effort to bring together talent from across the government to confront enemy unmanned aerial systems.

“Our job here at the Pentagon is to prepare for the threats of the future and build a force to match them, defeat them, and outpace them,” Hegseth said in a video address. He emphasized that hostile drones are already being used overseas and at U.S. borders to target warfighters, military bases, and even the sovereignty of America’s airspace.
