We visited Palmer Park with Tempe’s Urban Forester, Richard Adkins, to learn more about the Chinese Elm, otherwise known as the Lacebark Elm.
Famous for its unique bark; as the tree matures, the outer layers of bark naturally flake off creating a patchwork of colors.
