Slide 1: Last night. Slide 2: 2013. Thirteen years between two frames…. In design, they say the most powerful lines are the ones that connect the beginning straight to the end. In 2013, I was just a face in a massive crowd at my very first Redken Symposium. I was completely awestruck, just hoping for a second of his time, and we took the second photo. That single interaction drew the blueprint for my entire future. In 2019, he changed my life again by bringing me into his circle, giving me a stage, and trusting me with his teachings. And last night, during his final historic Redken Symposium, we took the first photo. To go from a fan in the audience to sharing a quiet moment with him as this chapter closes is overwhelming. I am infinitely grateful not just for the education or the technical mastery, but for the man himself.
