Tom Holland is opening up about the message at the heart of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. During an appearance on Amy Poehler’s ‘Good Hang’ podcast, the actor said he’s especially proud of the film’s focus on staying connected and not isolating yourself. “The message is so important for young people,” Tom said. “In this digital age, it’s so easy to sit at home of an evening and just scroll through your phone and just turn your mind to mush and to forget about how important socializing is,” he added. Amy Poehler quickly pushed back in playful fashion: “My phone is my best friend. Don’t talk about her like that. Watch your mouth when you talk about my phone.” 😂 Tom went on to explain that one of the movie’s core themes is encouraging people to get out, spend time with others, and value real-life connection in an increasingly digital world.
