A slice of la dolce vita but make it orientexpress.venezia This stunning Hotel by the belmond group has respected the integrity of this practically ancient (15th century) palazzo in the heart of Venezia. Original paintings have been restored to perfection, original architecture preserved, the bottled glass windows and stained glass windows too. Elegance and light create the ambience along with ancient floor stonework and the signature checkered walls by the 1800s architect Gian Battista Meduna who redesigned this magnificent edifice. The staff is beautifully on-brand and served us our coffee and desert with the prestige of a a full meal, and even offered to show us some of the hotel (minus a room as they were all occupied at the moment).
